Child labor is relevant in many countries. This article is going to suggest methods to abolish it and make education compulsory for all children. It is necessary that each child enjoys his childhood and should never be thrown into the harsh conditions of labor. The main reason for child labor is poverty. These children are taken as bonded labor to compensate the loans taken by their parents. Most of the times, the parents are cheated due to lack of education and the children become laborers for their life. There are many NGO’s which work towards rescuing the children who are not that fortunate to enjoy their childhood. There is an urgent need to abolish child labor. Firstly, it must become visible. People employ children and this is never disclosed. Until one finds out that children are employed, no action can be taken. Secondly, people must be educated to report about any child laborers to a helpline. This will help one to take action and rescue the children. Thirdly, there must be stringent laws to punish people whom employ children. The punishment must discourage anybody who is looking to employ children. It is in our hands to discourage child labor, are we ready for it?.

One day, I was thinking what could free us from the wars, poverty, corruption, hatred, economic recession, violence and so on. What could be the one weapon to make this earth a better place for all of us? I wondered if money could bring the change, but money brings greed along with it. I wondered if power, could change the face of earth but unfortunately power brings pride. I couldn’t zero on anything which would guide the human race to their dreams, the dream to live a peaceful life. As I sat thinking, I heard a young girl chatting with her mom. She was talking about her day in school, and how her teacher told that education will give her the wisdom to make the correct decisions. The word that education will empower man, made me sit up. That’s when it struck me education is the weapon that we all need. It is the torch, whose fire can burn all the evils. Thus this inspired me to take up a blog on this issue. This blog will discuss on the current trends of education, what is the role played by parents and teachers, students’ interests, how to make education cost effective and so on. This blog is meant to spread awareness on why education is important to all, on what has to be done to create an EDUCATIONAL REVOLUTION! A student inspired me to take up the cause and hope this blog inspires lot more people.
