An Inspirational Student Story

There are lots of stories which are awe inspiring. This story is about a person whom I have known personally for the past few years. This story dates back to forty years back and I would like to refer the protagonist of this story as Mr. P. P belonged to a household which was not very educated and lived on the petite earnings of his father. But P was very good in his studies. Irrespective of the problems that their house faced, he concentrated on his studies. P completed his school education and wanted to continue with college education. During those days there were two entrance examinations and Mr. P applied for only one. He was not aware of the other one. Unfortunately he could not attend the entrance exam because of lack of funds necessary to travel to the examination center. He did not know how his future would turn out to be. After few days his friend suggested that he apply to another university which did not require any entrance examination. Mr. P’s hopes lightened on hearing this. But the time limit to apply was fast nearing and it was virtually impossible to apply. But M.P was determined to apply and with great difficulty managed to apply. He got a seat in the Engineering College and went on to be the most intelligent person in the college. He faced lot of financial problems even at college but his spirit to study made him cross all the problems. He started working, became a well known personality among the engineers of his time. A lot happened in his life; he made money, lost it and so much more. And even today if you question on what inspired his life, he answers “it is the thirst to be educated and learn more”. I may not be very precise with the facts because this is a story which has inspired me and many more people. We only took in the inspiration and not the facts. I felt it was not necessary to reveal the name for one should understand the moral of this story than knowing the name. I know there are many such P’s; in the making and hope this story gives them the strength to move on in life.
