Education provides knowledge. It is that weapon which can reduce poverty, hunger, wars and any other form of evils. But all this is on a higher note isn’t it? If you ask a child, what it means to go to school, you will surely not hear such big words. The answer can be very simple, and many kids would answer going to school means meeting friends. This simple answer wouldn’t attract any applause but if one would try prodding, he will understand that education teaches one to socialize. Socializing is an important aspect which can be termed as a life skill. Students may belong to different races, caste or creed. But they will be studying under one roof. This will pave way for greater bonds of friendship, and the religious differences will not hold any value. This way tolerance is increased among students. Education teaches the basic manners which need to be followed while talking to people. An educated man will know what content must be spoken when. This will reduce the chances of intruding into ones’ privacy which should always be avoided. Listening is another important aspect needed for socializing. As students are trained to listen to teachers, they will score very high on listening. As one meets people from a very young age, there will be no factors like shyness which may hinder social skills. Education provides lot of confidence which is essential for social skills.
