Providing Cost Effective Education

Education is the one way to ignite minds and create a revolution which will change the evils in the world. All this will be achieved only if education is provided to all. We are living in a world where more than half the population lives in poverty. When people find it difficult to find money for food, can we expect them to think about education? The sad state is that education has become a very costly affair. In some countries, the government bears the cost of education. But in many countries, it is up to the students to pay the amount. The sad state of affairs is that people are so hit by economic recession that they are finding it difficult to manage the education fees. There must be some other ways, which would encourage more people to be educated. In third world countries, there is a free lunch scheme which provides food for all students who attend school. Some other ways of drawing children to school is to use information technology to teach. A teacher teaches from his home, and the students learn it from their places. This way one teacher can teach many children at a time and it is also flexible. This policy is being adopted in few places. The idea which I came across was that each educated person teaches another uneducated person. This policy means all uneducated people can be educated. One needs a heart to do such noble things, so are we all ready for it?.
